We stepped inside a former 84 Lumber and skating rink — now home to a mission unlike any other in the country.
We met with Co-founder/Owner Terry Merrell and Executive Director Crystal Sanburn, who shared how Cross America is working to send a cross and a path to salvation to every home in the U.S. — one ZIP code at a time.
Volunteers here package each cross with care, folding them to pray — hands, knees, head — before mailing them through Every Door Direct Mail to homes across the nation.
But Cross America is more than a nonprofit — it’s a community center built on faith, purpose, and action. It’s not a church. It’s a space that welcomes everyone. You can host events, connect with others, record a podcast in their in-house studio, or simply grab a seat at the Doubting Thomas Coffee & Café — a delicious and peaceful place to reflect, recharge, or meet with friends.
As Terry reminded us:
👉 “Everybody can try. Those that try harder will succeed.”
Thank you, Cross America, for showing us how mission and community can work hand in hand to change lives.
